SPEAKING

Public Speaker & Lecturer

Whether I’m on stage at a festival, leading a panel at a cultural institution, or guiding an in-house workshop, my focus is the same: designing experiences that connect, surprise, and resonate long after the moment ends.

I speak internationally on immersive storytelling, participatory art, and experience design — often through the lens of emotional architecture, human-centred creativity, and the role of play in transformation. My talks draw from both my installation work and my commercial collaborations, exploring how story, space, and sensory engagement can move people from observation to participation.

My practice sits at the intersection of art, technology, and communication, and my sessions are designed to meet that same cross-disciplinary energy: inspiring, practical, and grounded in real-world examples.

Create Experiences THROUGH STORY, PLAY & PARTICIPATION

  • What if creative breakthroughs come not from abundance, but from limitation?

This talk introduces The R.E.V.E.A.L. Pressure Simulator — a process that transforms constraint into a catalyst for clarity. Born from my experience rebuilding a £285K installation as an £850 prototype, the framework reveals what holds, what breaks, and what was missing all along.

Through case studies, I show how working with just 1% of the budget and 25% of the space can sharpen emotional logic, validate concept integrity, and strengthen impact before full-scale production.

  • How do we tell stories that reflect the collective rather than the singular?

This session introduces The Polymyth™, a narrative framework that moves beyond the traditional hero’s journey to embrace multiple protagonists and shared emotional arcs. Drawing from theatre, immersive art, and transmedia storytelling, I explore how collaborative narratives can inspire empathy, agency, and belonging in today’s audiences.

  • Stories don’t just tell — they transform.

In this talk, I explore how human-centred narratives can turn campaigns into living experiences that people feel rather than watch. We’ll unpack the craft behind designing emotional architecture, and how blending story, space, and sensory engagement can create resonance that lasts beyond the moment.

  • What makes an experience not just impressive, but transformative?

This talk unpacks the emotional mechanics that turn creative concepts into moments of personal impact. Through art and brand case studies, I share the key ingredients — from narrative rhythm to sensory pacing — that move people from observation to transformation, inspiring designers to create work that changes how audiences think and feel.

  • How can art teach us to design for emotion in an age of distraction?

Grounded in my installation and mixed-reality work, this talk explores how presence, empathy, and play can restore attention and connection in experience design. I’ll share insights from my projects EmbraceXR and JoyGaze, revealing how sensory engagement and emotional storytelling can turn technology into a bridge for human experience.

UPCOMING Talks

  • WXO Campfire - R.E.V.E.A.L. – Why Value-Engineering Is a Creative Superpower

When a £285K immersive experience became an £850 school-library prototype, experience designer Skye Von discovered that constraint can sharpen creativity rather than limit it. From that experiment emerged The R.E.V.E.A.L. Framework – a creative pressure simulator that transforms limitation into clarity and confidence. In this Campfire, experience designer and artist Skye explores how reducing scale and resources can expose blind spots, validate emotional logic, and amplify what connects most deeply with audiences.
